The only real question was _when_ it would happen.  Personally I thought 
they'd have a few more "good" years before the IBM-issued thumbscrews 
came out.

(Someting similar happened when I was at Arm -- Softbank purchased 'em, 
 but after the WeWork (and other) scandals and the subsequent 
 stock/financial fallout, Softbank went on some wild "cost cutting" crap 
 that led to, among other things, my entire division getting axed and 
 the still-ongoing Arm China debacle..)
