[ale] Where have all the computer store gone

We've been getting stuff from GIM for the last 20 years or so. We order
online too but a lot of the time it's just easier to go get it now, when we
need it. It's super convenient for us, at Northside Dr & Deering Rd. They
build their own computers and also carry a lot of off-lease 2-year-old
boxes that we've had good luck with. One thing is they don't have much to
browse--for most parts and components, you ask and they bring it out. I
guess this helps with theft and people just leaving stuff somewhere it
doesn't belong after they change their minds. I know a lot of people go to
Target, Best Buy, and Walmart for computers, routers, printers, and
components these days--I'm mostly thinking of people not in IT
professionally. The owner (I believe) Jim is very nice and knowledgeable
too! I remember going into CompUSA many times back in the day and asking a
question and finding the salespeople completely ignorant on the technical
side.
