[ale] Suggestion for a Good Linux/Desktop

As huge and bloated as it is, I use Gnome. For remote sessions I use XCFE. But my laptop has ram so it's gnome. 

Years back Enlightenment was the prettiest, most visually appealing DE on the planet. 

A zillion years ago I ran one called tkdesktop. Used tcl/tk to setup everything. Had a picture of a desk with hotspots at file drawers, phone, etc. Can't find it in the archives.
