[ale] Is there a path out of the Centos 6 forest?

IIRC, there is no in-place (yum-based) upgrade from EL6 to EL7; you need
to reinstall (which I believe you can do in place without reformatting the
disks).  I believe there WILL be a yum-based upgrade path from EL7 to EL8.
