All, today was my last day at Clayton State University. As a result, the
position will be posted as available next week. Here's the description for
those who may be interested. I can promise you that knowing Ansible will
aid you greatly should you get the job. Knowing basic git clone/pull/push
will also be helpful.

Job description:

Title: IT Systems Support Professional

Division: Information Technology Services (ITS)

Department: Technology Infrastructure

Reports To: Director, Technology Infrastructure



Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Configures, installs, operates, monitors, patches, maintains, and
troubleshoots campus central RedhatEnterprise Linux and Linux based
systems. (55%)

Responds to network alarms, e-mails, and bug reports and rapidly develops
fixes and/or workarounds. (5%)

Mentors other staff members in enterprise Linux systems administration (5%)

Professional development for existing and emerging enterprise Linux
administration technologies. As necessary, develops proposals for upgrading
existing systems and new systems. Other duties and responsibilities as
assigned. (10%)

Configures, operates, monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots campus Load
Balancers. (5%)

Configures, operates, monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots campus
enterprise DNS and DHCP infrastructure. (5%)

Works with Enterprise Application Programmers and DBAs to configure Linux
based operating systems and shell scripts. (15%)



Skills: (Required in bold, otherwise preferred)

RHEL System Administration, Linux System Administration, Ansible, VMWare,
SAN, Load Balancers, Shell Scripting, hardware and software troubleshooting.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to coordinate and complete projects with minimal supervision.
