[ale] Android secondary security

As Jim mentioned full factory reset is often possible. That doesn’t require login usually as it is done in hardware. You might look up how to do it on your model of phone.

Another thought: Maybe it wants your Google/Android password rather than your phone password. When you setup an android it usually requires you to set up an account for the play store and this is usually a gmail account. My phone recently has been prompting me to setup some sort of extra security or lost phone using the gmail account I’d created for use with android/play store. I’ve been blithely ignoring that prompt as I’m not interested but maybe you followed it and that is where the “secondary security” was setup. If you know the account and password you use for play store maybe entering that will unlock the phone.

Buy a new phone. Easier and cheaper. It's possible to do a full factory reset (which is what will happen in Fort Worth - no data recovery option) and regain control.

Alternatively, see if you can remove the mail app.

Does anyone know of a way around this mess -- or an entity in the

Atlanta area that can unlock this thing?
