Big duckduckgo fan here.  You can change your default search engine in
firefox by clicking on the little magnifier to the left.  Also note that
Chrome as of version 57 removed the option to turn off DRM.  You can
disable DRM on firefox if it is installed (
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-drm#w_disable-the-google-widevine-cdm-without-uninstalling
).   If you don't watch DRM ed content on your browser, it will never
install the plug-in.
