[ale] Appropriate hypervisor?

I'm aware of KVMs ability to do PCI passthrough [1] but if my
understanding is correct, like any attached device (USB or otherwise) in
KVM, you're unable to share the same device across multiple VMs
simultaneously.
You could certainly run your primary desktop OS as Linux and pass the
video card to the Windows 10 VM [2]. By running the VM on a second
virtual desktop it would be pretty seamless to switch back and forth.
