Check out FossetCon in Orlando later this year. They usually don't update the website until mid-summer, but it is heavy on the development with a healthy sprinkling of Linux/BSD.
I went last year, and it was a great event.

A week or so ago a comment was made along the lines of "if you want to get hired as a perl programmer, X is the conference to go to".
For those of us looking for potentially greener pastures, are there any good conferences for Ruby or Linux systems stuff? I'm certainly not fantastic at any of it but heading in that direction.
