Hey David!

I've not tried Lynda.com. Can't say that it's bad, but O'Reilly has been 
a name I can trust for more than a decade. I too did one of the OST 
classes but was really turned off by the "use our dinky IDE" part. 
Having someone critique your code was great, though.

On that front, I'm often on IRC asking newbie Ruby questions. If someone 
is into PHP there's https://phpmentoring.org/

My assumption is that there's something similar for other languages. In 
this case I got a couple "tickets" for class since we're not really 
doing off-site stuff due to costs. Harder to get them to pay for a 
monthly subscription, I think.
