Back when I was new to LVM and did dumb things, lost 80% of my data by spanning
an LV across 3 disks, 1 disk failed. I didn't have "backup religion" back then.
Actually, that foolish mistake got showed me the light of backup religion. Since
then, I haven't lost a bit and if I'd had backup religion then, wouldn't have
lost a bit.
Like to think I'm smarter now. Just because you "can" do something with LVM,
that doesn't make it a smart idea. The same applies for Unix in general.
Never had LVM have any corruption since then that wasn't traced back to a
failing Seagate drive. I don't buy seagate drives anymore.
