[ale] can't install windows on ST3000DM001

I'd almost put money on it either being 32-bit winders doesn't like that spiffy new big drive or 64-bit OS and needs UEFI turned on.
Either way, I'd throw winders in a VM so I could have a "works" snapshot to fall back on.
