Having done dozens of successful deployments of Puppet for both customers, companies I’ve worked for, and Puppet Labs themselves, if you’ve had a failed deployment, then YOU are the problem.

Automation is a mindset and your whole organization needs to shift how they think of IT.  If you don’t make the shift cognitively (usually the fault of compliance, change management, or security departments), they will torpedo your deployment.

That is hardly the fault of the product.
