I was looking for that info ( gnome version).. I have gnewsense in a VM
right now, it does seem snappy, and like I said very similar to MATE ( a
few different apps...)
If I had seen that before the summer I would have installed it on my
mothers computer, instead of Mint!
I might install it on my laptop to play with it.. my laptop is a nice
old Dell XPS from 2005.. still dual-boot with XP, but not really used
anymore, since I don't travel:)
