[ale] Where to buy an SSL Certificate?

We’ve used Verisign (now part of Symantec) for a long time but on recent purchases have used Digicert apparently because they’re cheaper. I’ve also seen others we do business with go to Digicert. (It caused us a problem on an older system that didn’t know who Digicert was a year or so ago.)

Since I don’t do the actual purchases I can’t tell you what either charges.

I’m not sure if you can really do wildcard for certificates though – we typically have specific ones for our various websites.

With the wide range of prices and companies selling, who do you suggest? I will be needing to get wildcard sub-domain for several websites.

Thanks,
Preston
