[ale] CentOS SRPM -> tarball

I want to install the following SRPM:

httpd-2.2.15-29.el6.centos.x86_64

When I do this it will install all the patches.

What is the best way to apply all those patches in the correct order and 
then tar up the source so I can build it for the target I'm working on?

My development host is CentOS 6.5 64 bit running at Rackspace and I'm 
working on building our tree to run our web app on 64 bit hosts.  It is 
time to ditch the 32 bit library requirement. :)
