never thought about that.. didn't know it was possible. Maybe I'll look
at that next time I reboot...

I just logged out & logged back into gnome ( not classic, just gnome),
tried youtube & ... no sound. PA volume control, change, and it works.
gnome was the default install on this fedora 21 setup, and I don't ever
remember selecting a default audio device on any install, ever. I've
always had sound blaster cards, since I can remember..
