[ale] Next CentOS-7.0 question

Things like this are the reason I jumped ship to XFCE quite a while back. I would consider not being able to store files on the desktop an absolute deal breaker. My desktop looks like an early 90s Mac user's desktop...lol I pretty much use my desktop as my default storage location for everything. Everyone who sits down at my computer hates it...and I get told that it is a bad habit...but like most bad habits, I'm not going to stop!

you don't.

The desktop concept as a place to store crap has been dropped. Take all the
stuff you used to leave uncategorized on your desktop and file them
someplace else.

That said, there _is_ a way to display your ~/Desktop folder on the
desktop: install gnome tweak tool and enable the option through Gnome Tweak
Tool -> Desktop -> Have File Manager Handle the Desktop.

sudo yum install gnome-tweak-tool

Those are for Fedora 19. Not sure if gnome-tweak-tool exists for CentOS7
yet.

Every time you stop a school, you will have to build a jail. What you gain
at one end you lose at the other. It's like feeding a dog on his own tail.
It won't fatten the dog.
