Insofar as software:

  * Current 2-DVD set of CentOS 6.
  * Current install DVD for Fedora (current and previous release, and if
    very very close to the next release, possibly that, too)
  * UBCD

If there is a Walmart in the area, I don't take anything that is cheap
and easy to replace and is going to get lost anyway. Safe to assume
(usually) that there is. Everywhere I've travelled to thus far has had
one. Used to be that I would be able to rely on Walmart for parts, too,
to a certain extent and in a pinch, but that's not even possible.

I won't take spare HDDs, but if I have any I will take spare SSDs.

I do have a tool-box that has all sorts of special purpose stuff
(cat5/coax/cat6/security bits/drivers/etc.) as well, which I take with
me any time I am working.

Anything else, I roll the dice.
