[ale] OT: Comcast modem

I have owned 3 Motorola cable modems. They die after about 2-3 years in my
area. I bet using a surge protector would have saved them though. What it's
cool about owning your own modem it's that if you call them up and tell
them you have issues with your current modem and want to try out a
different one, they'll connect both to your account. Then a dd-wrt enabled
router can bond/aggregate them. I'll leave it to your imagination to
consider the possibilities. I will just say that I am not being charged
double.
