I agree. I read very few of Ron's posts all the way through, but the
way I see it, he's single handedly keeping this list alive (with
relevant content). I assume your email client has some sort of feature
to kill threads -- use it. I make gratuitous use of Gmail's "mute"
feature.
As to the actual subject of this thread, all I can say is don't ever
try to write a Firefox add-on. It's an even more miserable experience
than dealing with the whims of the UI team.
Their reasoning for getting rid of these options is summed up in [1].
But if Firefox users wanted to use Epiphany[2], they would be doing
so.
