[ale] Next problem, How do I change boot partitions?

Oops, I see my mistake.  Since I use a separate boot partition, the 
files I'm looking for are /grub/menu.lst or /grub/stage1.  Those are 
found on sda1 where they should be.

Now I have my system back to a reasonable state.  All is well.
