Phil,
I've also played with Torque a bit. At the moment, I don't have an android device that I can leave in the car at all times. Your post prompted me to check that cheapo Uniden 7" tablet I bought to see if it has bluetooth. Alas, no luck. I gave up on monitoring MPG because I found it wasn't accurate. However, the system is still really cool for monitoring battery voltage and temperature (as a number). The instrument panel on my car does not allow me to get these in numerical form. I can't remember whether I can get access to oil pressure or not that way. I may have to do some testing with torque and my new used car. A long time ago, I found a small digital volt meter you can plug into the cig lighter socket. That, at least, lets me keep an eye on the battery status. By the way, if you use torque to measure voltage, the reading, in my case, differs by about a volt from what my plugin meter tells me.
Sincerely,
Ron

Sent from my Android Acer A500 tablet with bluetooth keyboard and K-9 Mail.
Please excuse my potential brevity.
(To whom it may concern. My email address has changed. Replying to former
messages prior to 03/31/12 with my personal address will go to the wrong
address. Please send all personal correspondence to the new address.)
(PS - If you email me and don't get a quick response, you might want to
call on the phone. I get about 300 emails per day from alternate energy
mailing lists and such. I don't always see new email messages very quickly.)
