If you want to tinker with Single System Image stuff like openmosix,
look at Kerrighed as it's still in development and actually works.
Needs 64-bit systems (32-bit dropped a few years back).

Openmosix has turned zombie and refreshed as something else. I have
the name on my system at home and can't recall it right now.
