[ale] firefox 12, adblock and cache clearing

Your experiment would suggest that it has nothing to do with adblock,
right?  What else is different between the 1st & 2nd systems?  What if
you disabled/removed adblock on the 1st system?

(Not seen on ubuntu/FF12, btw)
