[ale] I really incredibly exponentially hate ubuntu unity

One of the advantages of Mint/Cinnamon is that most of the time, the normal
laptop functionality stuff 'just works'. Hibernation, sleeping while on
battery, what-happens-when-i-close-the-lid, media keys, all that jazz. I
use XFCE on my desktop and love it, but getting all that shit to work is a
PITA.
