[ale] Looking for recommendations on LVM + soft Raid on home server

Yes, I've always put /boot on /dev/md0, on Fedora core 3, 6, and 10.
And Ubuntu 8. 

And had drive failures and it ran and booted fine on the single drive.
Was able to replace and it regenerated.
