[ale] laptop overheats before install completes

I don't have any problems with heat or 3D performance with the KMS-enabled
radeon driver. Actually they do much better than nvidia cards do these
days...

I actually recommend them over NVIDIA these days. I can't stand the
bugginess of the binary drivers on any platform, including Windows.
