How much disc space does it have. Have you thought about downloading
FreeNAS and making in a NAS for you home? I did with an old Ironmail
server I have, now it the NAS for my AppleTV and XBMC server.

Have you tried SUSE Studio? Need to create a Live CD,  an app you want
to package and distribute , or create your own linux distro. Give SUSE
