[ale] CD/DVD Burning Issues

So I switched to Ubuntu 10.10 from Fedora 13.
Tried to burn CD/DVD images and... nothing! Brasero, K3B, Gnomebaker,
etc. all say that burning was successful but disks are blank??!!

Google returns lots of kernel issues but a few of the solutions (disable
"this" and "that" on settings) did not work.
Device is HP CD/DVDw TS L633M.
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.
