Preston,
Thanks for the note. That's one reason I'm reluctant to remove Reader,
despite the problems I've described. I haven't personally tried Foxit,
but Leo Laporte on the TWIT podcast network recommends it.
I'm probably going to move to LibreOffice once it's stable. I thought it
was in beta, so I haven't tried it yet.

(PS - If you email me and don't get a quick response, you might want to
call on the phone. I get about 300 emails per day from alternate energy
mailing lists and such. I don't always see new messages very quickly.)
