I know there's more than one of us in this forum (myself included) that
have a Window$ desktop and network administration background as well as
hardware and software skills. I'd be happy to help field questions on
the OT as I believe/hope others would too; but being as M$ is a sandbox
that one often finds themselves working in, I think it has some
relevance here. (Just as long as you want to make M$ run in a VM on
*NIX that is!) [...lame attempt at a cheap shot]

Any chance I get to educate a proprietary mind toward FLOSS or GNU/Linux
I like to avail myself...especially if all they have known is M$ or even
Apple (but mostly M$). So IMHO this wouldn't be a bad place to chat on
such topics.

Knowledge is power.........RinL

I'm looking for a good place to ask questions about PC hardware.

I want to build a PC to run linux & VMWare workstation. I need to learn
something about Windows systems administration (don't laugh) and I thought
I'd make a virtual PDC and see if I can get virtual Windows machines to join
the domain. And since I'm blind, I thought I'd take the opportunity to brush
up on my hardware assembly skills too.

So I need help specing out a machine and matching mobo, CPU, and RAM on
newegg. But I don't know where to ask about that.
