I still have no way to suspend/hibernate my toshiba laptop. After giving it
some thought, I am suspicious that it may not understand how to work with
the encrypted partition(s). As this was an upgrade from F14 to F15, I can
see how some setup tweaks were not installed from that process. Still...
suspend doesn't hit the encryption aspect.

Of course Toshiba has no BIOS capability to let me tweak things there....
