I have not quite gotten there myself, not yet.  But I do think it is
annoying that i have to go to a different screen, put down the mouse and
start typing, or try to figure out what group the program I want to run is
under.

The power management works for me.  I have been able to hibernate and
restart flawlessly.  The blank the screen function also works for me with
a move of the moue or tap of the keyboard to bring it back.

I *hope* it will be like KDE4, it will be more usable next point release,
which hopefully will not be six months out.  XFCE4 is still viable :)
