In the case of the few wide-spread outages (which are typically AT&T's
fault), you don't get left on hold for long times, either.  After a
short hold time, if they can't get to you (which, in my experience,
means a wide-spread outage), you're put into voice mail, and they call
you back.  I've usually found Atnex's techs comfortable talking with
knowledgeable users (as opposed to the  script-driven techs I've
encountered elsewhere).  Even the salesman I talked to (way back when
when I signed on with Atnex) was comfortable with me using Linux.
