[ale] SUSE package manager and install empathy

It looks like it's asking for the install disk.
Did you do the install, and if you did, did you run the registration and let it set up the pool and update sources?

SLED is a lot more limited in optional software than openSUSE. Do you have to use SLED, or will they allow you to use other SUSE distributions?

Hello Friends:

I am a Ubuntu person.  In the office we are finally allowed to use Linux but
it has to be SUSE because of the Corp agreement.

I am fine with that, but in Ubuntu we have apt-get, but what do we have in
SUSE ?

I tried using the Install Software UI option but I get the following error

Media source 'cd:///?devices=/dev/sr0' does not contain the desired medium

The install tries to reach out to some repository
