[ale] how do you delete IMAP server messages and not local copies

(For those other than Paul, he and I have been discussing this topic off
list, but I didn't want to leave this not unacknowledged.)
Thanks for the link. How on Earth did you find something at Queen Mary
University in London? That's a pretty good article. A couple of people
had mentioned copying messages to folders.
I'm actually abandoning my IMAP pursuits for the moment, due to buggy
message processing in Eudora OSE. Those interested in my reasons can
reference my post on 01/31/11 entitled Eudora OSE - maybe Thunderbird -
IMAP Buggy.
I appreciate all the tips, and am saving them for future reference.

(PS - If you email me and don't get a quick response, you might want to
call on the phone. I get about 300 emails per day from alternate energy
mailing lists and such. I don't always see new messages very quickly.)
