[ale] LInux Based Media Players

My WD HD TV Live Plus arrived yesterday. $98 on Amazon.

It works as advertised. Played my DIVX, AVI and dvd iso files without a
hitch over hdmi.

Main reason I got it is 'cos I have a bunch of PAL encoded Region 2 dvd's
from before I moved to the USA. Rip them to iso and they play fine.

I never bought the wifi add-on, so cannot comment on that. My tests were all
off a USB HDD, will probably on get round to trying my NAS drive over the
weekend.

The GUI is OK, but I may try some third party firmware just for the heck of
it.

I did not see any obvious way to play mp3 over a video.
