[ale] [OT] Load Control Switch

If you're "understanding" isn't based in a written agreement then it
isn't much better than other's "opinions" and likely will lead you into
some dissatisfaction later.

If enough people sign up for this kind of thing I suspect they'll be
able to force the rest of us to accept them. I doubt this has been
around long enough for "experience" to really tell what it will be like
once most people have them. One recalls the rolling blackouts suffered
by Californians a few years back mainly due to manipulation of energy
prices by Enron and its special purpose entities.

Trying to get folks on ALE not to offer "opinions" you don't want is
wasted effort and is more apt to garner you additional responses you
don't want.

They get to control it within limits. My understanding is that they
will turn it off for no more than half hour. And will leave it on for
half hour before turning it off. I am interested in hearing from
someone who actually has one of these and has an opinion based on
experience.

comfort...

It is an incentive to allow them to install it. They pay me $36 per
unit. There is no direct cost to me. I am concerned what the indirect
costs might be from someone with experience on the topic.
