I normally don't forward stuff like this, partially because I think you
folks see it before I do and partially because it is not apropos, but this
one seems to break those two rules.

Subject: [BALU] Announcing SEUGLS 2010
To: BALU Linux/Free Software Discussion <members at lists.bham-lug.org>

I wanted to pass this information along. We are having a UserGroup
Leadership summit in atlanta next month. And are encouraging other Users
Groups to consider sending people. We are looking for 1-2 leaders per group
to attend. See the email below for information. Some of you may have already
gotten this so please ignore if you did

Thanks,
Henry McBride

We'd like to announce the 2010 Southeast User Group Leader Summit
(SEUGLS)! It's taking place on October 16th, 2010 from 11am to 7pm and
is pretty much the same format and location as last year. We decided
to keep registration free and it's NOW OPEN at
http://seugls.eventbrite.com/.

This unconference-style event is for technology-based user and
community groups in the Southeast. The goal of this event is to share
tips and discuss the issues and challenges facing technology groups
regardless of the actual technology the group is focused on, such as
finding locations, getting speakers, seeking out sponsorship, growing
membership, hosting special events, etc.

Microsoft will be hosting us again at their regional headquarters in
Alpharetta, GA (north Atlanta area). O'Reilly Media is our primary
supporter again this year, as well. The wiki from last year is still
running at http://seugls2009.pbworks.com/ if you'd like to look back
or if you're new to SEUGLS.

For more information and discussion:

Event Wiki: http://seugls.pbworks.com/ - feel free to add session ideas,
etc.

Discussion: http://groups.google.com/group/SE-UG-Leaders-Summit (this
email list - feel free to forward this to non-subscribers)

Twitter: http://twitter.com/SEUGLS

We hope you can make it! See you next month!

The SEUGLS Organizing Committee
