[ale] OT - Have you seen this almost trivial solution to the oil mess?

This mess, even when the geyser of oil is stopped, which doesn't look
promising yet, isn't going to get "cleaned up". Like the EXXON mess in
Alaska years ago, it will be worked on for a time, much of the problem
will go into hiding in various parts of the environment, and people
will declare "victory". But twenty, thirty years later, there will
still be huge pools of trouble just below the surface waiting to be
disturbed.
Plus, I'm assuming that the "clean up" crews are given proper gear
(which I've seen charges that the EXXON spill crews were not), and
don't have significant health issues ongoing for the rest of their
lives. As far as the wildlife in the whole area - I suspect the less
said the better.
