I really like the Dells and really dont like the HPs personally. If you
check out linux.dell.com they have info on what is supported and not
supported under linux.
as for netbook. I have the Dell mini9 (which is discontinued) which
really rocks both under MacOSX and Linux. the mini10 that replaced it
has been discontinued also. Not sure if they have a replacement for the
mini10. But as far as I can tell the dell netbooks had the best support
for non-windows O/Ses compared to the others.
