Actually it says this:

           They do not work on newer WPA 2 devices or on WPA systems that
           use the stronger Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm.

which is a bit different from how you put it. ;-)

WPA2+AES, with MAC filtering, and https mgmt (from the inside only),
is the way to roll.
