As far as nvidia in 9.10, it is fine if your gfx card is. I had issues with
mine, but then again I always did. That said, ATI also works really well
(!).

Why do a full reinstall though, just out of curiosity?

Okay, my main development machine is currently running Kubuntu 8.10.
I booted the 9.10 CD and got sound + even PulseAudio to work (!). I
can find solutions to re-enabling <ctrl><alt><backspace> and disabling
the evil kdm(1) on 9.10 pretty easily.

I'm thinkin' the best plan is to wipe & install fresh ( my ${HOME} is
of course on its own partition ). I can make dpkg(1) give me a list of
currently installed packages ( dpkg --get-selections ), and I have the
stuff I've installed from source in a directory under my /home
partition. My laptop can provide connection to the Mighty Internet if
I run into serious trouble.

Am I missing anything? Anyone know how much pain my 8.10 (KDE 4.1)
desktop config files are gonna give a 9.10 (KDE 4.3) install?
Has anyone done qt3 development on kubuntu 9.10, which ships with QT4?
What about going from FireFox 3.0.3 to FireFox 3.5? Do the Nvidia 3D
drivers work OK ( I'm running some programs which require OpenGL
support on a GeForce 6200 )?
