[ale] kde and tv resolution help needed

Any update on this would help.

I finally nuked the box with MythUbuntu just so that it will have myth.

Here is my setup.
Athlon X2 250
NVidia Video Card
4GB Ram
500GB drive
Monitor = 60 inch SONY HDTV 1920x1080
MythUbuntu = GNOME + Myth

I am connected to the TV from the HTPC via DVI ==> HDMI  (not sure if this
matters or not)

What do I need to do to get the screen to fit into the TV screen ?

This used to be a Windoze machine and at that time I could fit the
resolution quite well.

So should I copy the xorg.conf and tweak it to match my TV ?

Harder to find is the refresh rates of the TV.
