[ale] OT: dropped the land line and going naked DSL

	I've had the opposite results... However, that said I did complain long
enough and often enough they did send a truck out and replaced my DSL
modem along with the optical network card in the box across the street.
My line is fiber to the ONC box on the other side of the street. I was
getting frequent drops and they cleared up after the new modem and ONC
replacement. As I didn't use the phone line for more than telling
telemarketers to take a long walk off a short pier we had the line moved
to naked DSL and haven't really had any problems since.
