[ale] OT -- STATA on a unix server

Thanks for the note.  I'm well familiar with that site, and should say to 
anyone else, it's the best place to hit the ground running with stata.

Political predilections, and a desire to keep my 155 dollars, prevent me 
from buying software.

I drive from Atlanta to Athens twice a week anyway, but would prefer not 
to make extra trips, nor stay all nite, just to use a computer.  It 
contradicts my understanding of the smart ways to use computers.
