If you want hardware RAID, 3Ware is good, but I'm partial to software 
RAID in any situation where you don't either have the hardware under a 
solid support contract, or keep a spare RAID controller on site. With a 
software RAID, if the SATA controller fails, you can just get another 
SATA controller, and not have to worry about tracking down a compatible 
hardware RAID card.
