Subject: Re: [ale] R&D server for VMware ESX?
All,
I bought the T105, but it seems ESX has a very restricted set of linux
drivers. I was able to install Opensuse 11.0 on the T105 with no
issues.
But I was unable to even boot the ESX install disk. It locked up in
middle of the process.
So, it looks like I need to buy one of the machines VMware has on their
approved list. Suddenly the price jumps from $500 to $2500 - $5000 (I
have not looked to much at the list yet, so I'm not sure what I can get
by with.)
