Many thanks for all the feedback from everyone. I learned a long time ago that you can't please everybody so no apologies are necessary. I'll take 1 negative to 9 positive responses any day!

I know this is an odd combination. I'm going to float an explanation here but remember my tech knowledge is not so deep so this will be an over-simplification. The company's product involves wireless nodes and wireless sensors that feed info back to a variety of reporting applications... the vast majority of which are windows-based, but are customized to each customer as per their needs. The engineer in question develops software for the sensors. So, in my non-tech savvy mind, the sensors communicate with the nodes in Linux and with the reporting applications in .Net/C# etc. Hence the overlap (I hope and pray that makes sense.) Every webmaster under the sun now can use .NET or Java, but none know how to make it interface with Linux, which is what brought me here.

Again, if anyone has any thoughts on another place to look for this kind of crossover of skills I'm all ears. Alternatively feel free to share my email with anyone that may want to reach out. It's clear how small the candidate pool is for this so you can imagine my appreciation.

Thank you -R
